Service Update: TRCR Negotiations Update – June 7, 2024

Please note that while the reply deadline from the CIRB has been extended to June 14 and negotiations continue, a work stoppage is not likely to occur before mid to late July.

There are currently no delays as a result of these negotiations, and schedules are continuing as planned. We will continue to monitor the situation closely and provide any updates as they become available.

Service Update: Delays Possible due to Potential CBSA Strike – June 4, 2024

Please note that as of June 6, general processing times for import clearances into Canada may increase as a result of a potential strike by the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) employees. We will continue to monitor the situation closely, and provide more detailed updates as they become available.

Service Update: Delays in AB Due to Track Disruption – June 3, 2024

Please note that as a result of a train disruption near Hinton, Alberta, shipments may experience delays of up to 48 hours as the backlog is cleared and traffic is expedited through the area. We are monitoring this situation closely, and will continue to provide updates as they become available.

Service Update: Delays in BC Due to Train Derailment – June 3, 2024

Please note that as a result of a train derailment between Edmonton and Jasper, shipments into BC may experience delays of up to 48 hours as the congestion is cleared, and schedules are sorted. We are monitoring this situation closely, and will provide updates as they become available.

Service Update: Delays in Fort McMurray and Fort Nelson Due to Wildfires – May 22, 2024

Due to escalating wildfires, mandatory evacuations have been ordered for both Fort McMurray and Fort Nelson. As a result, service disruptions in these areas are expected until further notice. We are closely monitoring the situation and will provide updates as they become available. Thank you for your understanding and patience.

Service Update: Victoria Day & National Patriot’s Day Observance – May 15, 2024

Please be advised that our locations in AB, BC, NB, NS, ON and QC will be closed on Monday, May 20, 2024 to observe and celebrate Victoria Day and National Patriot’s Day. Regular service will resume from these locations on Tuesday, May 21, 2024.

Service Update: Rail Strike Plan Update – May 10, 2024​

Please be advised that the potential rail strike has been averted, and operations are expected to proceed without any interruptions. We will continue to monitor the situation closely and provide updates as they become available.

M-O Rail Strike Plan – May 6, 2024

In response to the potential railway strikes, M-O has created an action plan to assist our customers in proactively planning for these events. The dates attached will provide the current shipping ingate cut-off timeline for units to arrive prior to any labor disruptions. Please be aware that dates may change as plans evolve, and updates will be shared accordingly.

Service Update: Delays Possible in ON due to highway closure – April 30, 2024​

Please note that shipments passing through the GTA may face delays due to the closure of both directions on Highway 401 in Whitby following an accident. Traffic is being redirected, and significant delays are expected on alternative routes. We are closely monitoring the situation and will provide updates as they become available.

Service Update: Potential Delays in BC Due to Minor Wildfires – April 23, 2024​

Please note that there may be delays in service between Jasper, Prince Rupert, and Vancouver (including all Port Terminals) over the next 7 days due to minor wildfires affecting traffic. We are closely monitoring the situation and will provide further updates as they become available.
