Service Update: Update for Delays Due to Hurricane Fiona – September 22, 2022

Please note that Hurricane Fiona is expected to approach parts of Atlantic Canada late Friday, September 23 into Saturday, September 24.

In preparation for the storm, CN will:

-Halt all local switching and mainline carload trains in New Brunswick and Nova Scotia from Friday, September 23 at 18:00 to Saturday, September 24 at 18:00
-Close the gates and halt operations at the Port of Halifax, Halifax intermodal Terminal and Moncton Intermodal Terminal between Friday, September 23 at 18:00 to Saturday, September 24 at 18:00

Train departures are expected to be delayed 48-72 hours, and currently the Friday night train departure has been cancelled.

These plans are subject to change based on weather and track conditions, and we will continue to monitor and communicate additional information as it is made available. 

Service Update: Possible Delays in BC Due to Washout Conditions – September 22, 2022

Please note that delays of 24-48 hours in and out of BC may be possible due to washout conditions requiring repairs to tracks. We will continue to provide updates as they become available.

Service Update: Possible Delays Due to Hurricane Fiona – September 20, 2022​

Please note that due to Hurricane Fiona the Marine Atlantic anticipates cancelling ferry sailings between Port aux Basques, N.L., and North Sydney, N.S., between Friday September 23 and Sunday September 25. As a result, delays are expected, but we will continue to monitor and provide updates as they become available.

Service Update: Possible Delays Due to The Confederation Bridge Closure – September 16, 2022​

Please note that for safety due to high winds The Confederation Bridge has been temporarily closed, with the anticipation to reopen to traffic later this evening. This will affect any pickups and deliveries requiring this route. We will continue to provide any updates once they become available.

Please note that due to high winds and rough waters, there may be delays with Oceanex shipments over the coming weekend. We will continue to provide any updates once they become available.

Please note that due to the power interruption at M-O’s Vancouver terminal, the scheduling of pickups and the dispatch of drivers could also be affected. At the moment, service has not been restored, and we will continue to provide updates as they become available.
