M-O Rail Strike Plan – May 6, 2024

In response to the potential railway strikes, M-O has created an action plan to assist our customers in proactively planning for these events. The dates attached will provide the current shipping ingate cut-off timeline for units to arrive prior to any labor disruptions. Please be aware that dates may change as plans evolve, and updates will be shared accordingly.

Service Update: Delays Possible in ON due to highway closure – April 30, 2024​

Please note that shipments passing through the GTA may face delays due to the closure of both directions on Highway 401 in Whitby following an accident. Traffic is being redirected, and significant delays are expected on alternative routes. We are closely monitoring the situation and will provide updates as they become available.

Service Update: Potential Delays in BC Due to Minor Wildfires – April 23, 2024​

Please note that there may be delays in service between Jasper, Prince Rupert, and Vancouver (including all Port Terminals) over the next 7 days due to minor wildfires affecting traffic. We are closely monitoring the situation and will provide further updates as they become available.

Service Update: Potential Delays Expected on April 8 Due to Solar Eclipse – April 5, 2024​

Please be advised that deliveries and pickups in Southern Ontario, Montreal, and parts of Atlantic Canada on Monday, April 8, may experience delays of up to 24 hours due to anticipated traffic congestion, as the upcoming Total Solar Eclipse is expected to attract large crowds to these areas. We will continue to monitor the situation closely and provide more specific updates if service delays occur. 

Service Update: Weather Related Delays Expected in ON & QC – April 4, 2024​

Please note that delays may be possible throughout Montreal, Ottawa and Toronto as a result of the significant snow fall. Pickups and deliveries in these regions may experience delays of up to 24 hours. We will continue to monitor the situation closely, and provide further service updates as they become available.

Service Update: Special Weather Statement for Calgary – March 19, 2024​

Please note that delays may be possible throughout Calgary, AB as a result of a significant weather change this week, bringing cooler temperatures and the potential for 15 to 25 cm of snow. This expected front will also bring heavy snow, starting this evening in west-central Alberta and spreading southeast on Wednesday and Thursday. Over the next 48 hours, parts of southern Alberta could see snowfall totals of 15 to 25 cm, with even higher amounts possible over the eastern slopes of the Rocky Mountains. Snowfall warnings are likely. We will continue to monitor the situation closely, and provide any service updates as they become available.

Service Update: Delays in NL Due to Severe Weather – March 11, 2024​

Please note that due to outcome of the severe weather conditions, our NL terminal anticipates service delays of 48-72 hours as we clear the backlog. We will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates as they become available.
