Service Update: Delays across Canada due to severe winter conditions- January 31, 2022

Please be advised that we are experiencing delays across the country due to extreme cold, snow and ice.

  • Tier restrictions on the rail due to extreme cold in eastern and western Canada are causing delays.
  • There will be delays into Atlantic Canada due to the extreme cold. Ice and snow are causing flanges to freeze; please anticipate 24-48 hour delays into Atlantic Canada.
  • Winter conditions with extreme cold are causing 24-48 hour delays into Western Canada.
  • CN Brampton is experiencing 48 hour delays due to congestion from the abundance of snow we received in the area last week.
