Update regarding on-going disruption in Western Canada- November 16, 2021

CN crews have been working safely and diligently throughout the day to clean and repair multiple sites affected by the significant rainfall in British Columbia. CN has made progress in restoring portions of the Yale Subdivision and crews are also working to repair rock slide and washout sites on the Ashcroft Subdivision. All intermodal and carload traffic northbound and eastbound from Vancouver, as well as traffic inbound to Vancouver from east/north of Kamloops continue to be affected by this situation.

Please expect delays into and out of Vancouver.  At this point damage assessment and time lines are still very much educated estimates.

We appreciate your continued patience and support as we work to resume normal operations. We will continue to update you as the situation evolves.

Please note that currently Vancouver is the only area that is encountering delays.  Edmonton and Calgary and are still operating regularly.

We have included a link to DriveBC’s website below for additional information regarding traffic/road updates. We will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates as they become available.
